Victor L. George won the 2005 Trial Lawyer of the Year Award for the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (CAALA), and has been nominated for that TLOY honor for 10 of the past 15 years (2002 through 2007 and 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015). He was twice nominated for the National Trial Lawyer of the Year (NTLOY) for Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ) in 2012 and 2016. For the tenth time, he is again on the “Top 100″ attorneys in Southern California’s “Top 100 Super Lawyers” list for 2016, and has been listed as a “Super Lawyer” every year since its inception in 2004.
Mr. George’s clients have received numerous seven and eight figure jury trial verdicts in both catastrophic personal injury and employment discrimination / harassment cases. These include jury trial verdicts against many large corporations such as Wal-Mart, Ford Motor Company, California Youth Authority, Los Angeles County Metrolink, the Los Angeles Roman Catholic Archdiocese, Brownco Construction, Columbia Medical Hospitals, U.S. Mineral Company, Sears Roebuck, Taverna Tony Restaurant, Kindred Healthcare, Cornerstone OnDemand and Burbank Unified School District, etc.
Just this past November 2016, George received a jury verdict of $26 million for the “loss of love” to the mother and father in the wrongful death jury trial of their 16-year-old son. This (noneconomic) loss of love jury award is the largest wrongful death jury verdict of a minor in U.S. history.
Mr. George did not lose a trial for ten (10) consecutive years. He is an emeritus member of CAALA Board of Governors. He sits on the CAOC Board of Governors, he is a Leaders’ Forum Club member of the American Association of Justice (AAJ) and a member of both CELA and NELA.
